Your feeling exhausted but you still have to go to work, still have to go to school and you have to take care of those kiddos. I know all about that people ! I work a full time job, take care of my husband and two children whom are 8 and 18 months, care for my chihuahua, maintain my house and try to work on my blog as much as I can in the dark hours of the morning before my little one wakes up.

There is not a day that goes by when I am NOT feeling tired.

I have had people ask me all kinds of questions and say all sorts of comments relating to the “tired” look. One example is ” You look so tired, cant handle everything”? Comments like that just get under my skin so bad. I am human I get tired like everyone else. Nine out of ten times the person making that comment does not have half as much on their plate as most of us hard working mommas do.

I love my life and love all the chaos that comes along with it. I am sure a lot of you can relate.

Sometimes I just get so frustrated and wish people understood the amount of pressure that gets put on a mom daily.

Wake up with no sleep, bags under our eyes, dark circles, hair is a mess and yet that cup of coffee that taste so good in the morning but has no effect on waking you up and giving you that boost you need to get your day started! Kinda like me right now its 3:14 am and here I am sipping coffee, listening to my husband snore across the house sound asleep (wishing I was doing the same) working on my blog.

Us momma’s do this sleepless tired over worked lifestyle to give our family a better life.

Giving how tired we feel we are probably looking like woman from another planet but that’s why I am here and in this post I am going to help you hard working mommas look like we got the best nights rest in the world !!!!! I am going to share with you 6 tips to help you look less tired and more awake, refreshed and put together.

When I am running on next to nothing (or nothing) here are my go to tips…..

1. LIPSTICK

find a nice color that will make your skin pop momma. I have listed the colors that match best with different skin tones.

  • Light skin tone- Best with bright pinks and reds and oranges.
  • Medium skin tone- Mauve, berry and cranberry colors
  • Darker skin tone- Browns (like a walnut/ caramel color) and Purples (like plum & wine colors)

2. DRY SHAMPOO

This one is literally one of my best friends its a COMPLETE life saver guys!!!! I have very thick long hair so I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I try to let my natural oils soak in. When I was younger I did a lot of damaging to my hair so I definitely try to be more careful these days. There are days my hair does not act right (I batiste dry shampoo tropicalswear its more off days then on days) and it will get very oily and I just take my dry shampoo spray it all into my roots and BOOM it is like magic ya’ll ….. brand new hair !
The one I like to use the most is ” Batiste Dry Shampoo” the tropical one. It smells AMAZING just like coconuts. Best part it is only $5.88 at Walmart.

3. EYEBROWS

Giiiiirl having well shaped eyebrows will always make you look put together no matter what and no matter how much makeup you have on. I don’t know what it is about eyebrows looking good that makes us look like we have a team behind closed doors but it does so we are gonna go with it ! There are many option to choose from on how you want your eyebrows done.
Here are some options that are out there.
1. Threading
2. Tweezing
3. Waxing
4. Tinting
5. Comb them out with a spooly and fill them in with a pencil or brown pomade and seal with brow gel.

4. YOUR HAIR

If you always wear your hair in the same style everyday then try to switch it up on the days you are feeling a bit off. I know that sounds like a lot of work and the point here is that you are already tired. So why would you want to do more work with yourself.

What I mean by switching it up is not going all out and doing some glam look just something simple here is an  example :
If you wear your hair in a ponytail everyday then try to do something different like putting your hair in a braid. Wrap the braid around into a bun or just do a braid ponytail. You can also try doing a messy bun. Messy bun is one of my fav’s and it is very easy to do. I literally throw my hair up in a messy bun, place some bobby pins and it looks like I spent more time on my hair then I actually did.

Even if you don’t know how to do any of these looks you could always watch tutorials on YOUTUBE. Here is a video that has a lot of helpful tips you can use for your hair.

5- EYEWEAR

This one is very simple to do which is you can just put on some eye wear aka glasses. Putting on glasses instantly makes you look different. Prescription pair or not they will make you look like your less tired and look more put together.

6- CONCEALER

Cleanse your skin and put on your serums and moisturizer. Take a good concealer and apply to under eyes and the tops of your eyes and blend. My go to concealer is the MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser dark circle treatment concealer. Absolutely love this one!!!

And there you have it ladies! My 6 tips to make you look less tired and more awake and  put together. We all have those nights. We get no sleep and we look like we are tired because we stayed up late. Maybe we are just having a lazy day and do not want to do a full face or your full routine. Stick to these 6 tips and they will drastically make you look less tired and wide awake !
